THE YOSHIZAKI ARCHIVE

Fourteen years of material experiments, pioneering designs, and continued innovation. From handmade tools in a Hawaii garage to a modular EDC ecosystem.

Origin

2012 · AGE 10

Started making knives, tools, and other handmade items with my grandfather in Hawaii.

LAUNCH

JUN 2018 · AGE 16

Encouraged by material supplier, Vegas Forge, after seeing my ring making work, I opened my Etsy shop under Yoshizaki Designs.

material

JUN 2020 · AGE 17

Created an original material, first called “Space Rock”, a multicomposite patterned material made of resin, ceramic, and metal. Later renamed “Space Chalk”.

collaboration

JUN 2020 · AGE 17

First collaboration with Armstrong Metal Works, sent a piece of Space Chalk for him to turn into a bead. Inspired, I pivoted from ring making into the EDC (everyday carry) niche.

material

JUN 2020 · AGE 17

Improved the Space Chalk material by adding glowing chunks to the composite, creating a new material variant named Glomascus.

material

AUG 2020 · AGE 18

Created a variant of glomascus by adding finer glowing particles throughout the composite, creating Starmascus.

Design

MAY 2021 · AGE 18

Created the Glokat, a simple EDC pocket item made from a new variation of Starmascus.

design

JUL 2021 · AGE 19

Created the first Hex Knuck, a single-finger knuck for EDC purposes, expanding the lineup.

design

SEP 2021 · AGE 19

Created the first Tri-Wing Slider, a three-winged EDC fidget slider, further expanding the lineup.

transition

FEB 2022 · AGE 19

Switched from public Instagram sales to a private, invite-only Facebook group.
